spring tease
This weekend felt a lot like spring in Montana.
Meaning no snow. Only sun and warm temps.
Nearly 70 degrees! (and it was snowing the day before...)
BUT turns out Bennett caught a nasty virus and was sick all weekend. So we had a lot of backyard/garden play time. He didn't even miss the Easter egg hunt.
He has a garden to run through!
He didn't really look sick in these picture but he was. After a full night of coughing and not sleeping well, I finally went into his room at 5am. I walked in and quickly he shot up in bed and said "hi". That's his new thing. Even when he is coughing to the point of puking, he'll still say "hi" very enthusiastically when you enter his bedroom.

big time
Bennett and I sure did have a big time in Tennessee.
Big Time
Side note: Bennett has been saying big time all day today. Its so cute. He got it from this scene in "I Love You Man". Or maybe he got it from me.
Anyhoo.
Tennessee was so lush and green and warm - I was just excited to see the sun and the blooming flowers and dogwoods everywhere we went. In Helena, it snowed 5 inches the day we flew out. Boo!! (thumbs down!)
It was an especially good week for me since it was my 33rd B-Day and I had babysitters so I could party til 2 in the morning, eat a ton of cookie cake and oreo truffles, and go to a real concert!! Toad the Wet Sprocket's still got it!
Mr. B had so much fun with everyone - all the pictures can be seen here. Still waiting on some pics from the visit to the farm - B got to see horses, mules, cows and a cute little calf.
I realized, though, that I take TONS of pictures of Bennett and forget to take pictures of other people - my entire hard drive is full of Bennett pics but I can barely find any pics of Julia or Momma from this past trip. My 34th year resolution is to expand my photography to more than just this cute little face:

freedom fries
Ahhhhh, our first weekend of FREEDOM!!!
Thanks to Nona and Grandpa, we got and entire 2-1/2 DAYS OF FREEDOM!!!! WHA-HOOOO! Not that we don't love this ishy-squishy-food-stuck-in-teeth-ooey-gooey-goodnesss:
BUT, a break every now in then is very nice. So, we were very lucky to get a weekend away which happened to be Rory's 35TH BIRTHDAY! He and I went to Gardiner, MT to hang with some buffalo and elk in the cold and the snow. We froze our butts off and both had sinus infections, but hey, at least we had the weekend off from poopy diapers and 7am wake-up calls. The birthday weekend started off with a homemade batch of fried chicken made by yours truly (for first time ever!):
We confidently left this scene:
And enjoyed this scene in/near Yellowstone National Park:
Bennett had a great time - and wanted me to tell you all, you can come spend the weekend with him anytime!
