Bennett turned 2 and a HALF years old on Saturday! Can't believe it. That means he's almost 3...and life will be so different when he's 3.
But let's just focus on the now...
* Sugar & Spice: The terrible two's are in full force - his tantrums come on quick and unexpectantly, making me want to run out of the house and throw myself on the ground kicking and screaming. If it weren'nt for the ice and snow, of course. They don't last too long, I guess. But the bad days are when they just continue to happen over and over and over and over until we call 'er dun and put him to bed at 6pm. Just kidding. Maybe 6:30. But then there are the times when he's the freakin' cutest thing I've ever seen and he flashes you his biggest smile ever and says he's having fun with you while having the cutest little conversation with you.
* SUPER DUPER SQUISHY CUTENESS ALERT! Bennett told us both he loved us last week! I'm not gonna lie - I was a little jealous he said it to Rory first. but it was a cute story - I nearly melted when he told me. Rory was playing blocks in the basement with B. He asked Bennett if he liked building blocks and he asked Rory the same. Then he got up and said "I love you Dada" and gave him a big hug. Awwwwww!
A few days later I (Amy) was sitting on the couch with Bennnett. We were watching the SAG Awards and snuggling under a blanket. He was getting comfy and leaned back ona pillow. He looked over at the tv, then looked over at me and said "I love you, Mama!" So freakin' sweet!!!
* He has already started to tattle...on his friends.
Man, I thought we had so much more time before we had to talk "morals" and "ethics". This parenting thing is starting to take a whole new turn.
