good times w/Baby T

This past weekend, Bennett grabbed his little horsey backpack and headed to the airport to catch another plane. This time to California to meet his 3-month old cousin Tyler!



He didn't know what to think of him at first but soon he realized what awesome toys he had - then they were best friends. Bennett taught Baby T how to kick the beach ball on the kick-n-crawl.



Then Tyler took us to his backyard playground: Yosemite National Park!
It was Bennett's 4th national park visited during his first year of existence!




It was gorgeous, of course - we saw all the famous sites and went on a great little hike up to a mountain lake. Bennett even became good buddies with John Muir.

We had such a good time with Todd, Madelyn & Tyler - thanks for showing us around!




Oh yeah, and it was also a pretty awesome place to spend our 9th anniversary together!!
Nine years of knowing each other - some really drunken... err I mean... good times!

stay-cation

This weekend was all about exploring some local places near home.

Saturday we needed to drive to Livingston, MT to pick up my car and on the way back we stopped at the Missouri Headwaters State Park to stretch our legs a bit and see where the Jefferson, Gallatin & Madison Rivers form the great Missouri River. Logan really wanted to see them, anyway.

So we had a good time walking around downtown Livingston that morning (there are some cute shops), hiking around the state park that afternoon and getting back home with just enough time to fall asleep on the couch while watching Iron Man. Whew...crazy Saturday night up in here, I tell ya.

But THEN there was Sunday. SUnday... SUNday............ SUNDAY!!!

Bennett's FIRST float on the MO!

For those of you who don't hang out with Rory or his fishing buddies on a regular basis, that means the Missouri River. And its a pretty big deal - the first of many floats on the Mo lookin' for risers, searchin' for heads, poundin' the banks, huckin' metal, and so on. All of this means 'fishing' of course.

Our friends Mike & Peggy were kind enough to let us borrow their drift boat for the day so we could get Mr. B out on the river. I'm not gonna lie...there were some rough times of him fighting the lifejacket...but when we were able to just put down the anchor and hang out he had a much better time. He loved throwing rocks over the side of the boat and see them splash in the water.

Sometimes there are just not enough rocks.

A good time was had by all.
